Caparzo, Toscana Bianco, Chardonnay IGT 2021

Caparzo Toscana Bianco Chardonnay IGT 2021 is a sophisticated white wine made up of 85% Chardonnay, Trebbiano, Moscato and Vermentino, grown on Elisabetta Gnudi Angelini's three vineyards in Tuscany. The Chardonnay grapes from Montalcino, Castelnuovo and Magliano contribute a round and fresh character, while Trebbiano from Borgo Scopeto gives the wine a deep color and notes of white peaches. Moscato from Caparzo adds a sweet aroma, and Vermentino from Doga delle Clavule adds elegance and structure. Each grape variety is harvested and vinified separately, and fermentation takes place in steel tanks without malolactic fermentation. The wine matures on its lees for a few months before bottling, without the use of wooden barrels. It presents itself with a light golden color and an aromatic profile with notes of apricots, pears and exotic fruits such as passion fruit and grapefruit. The palate is refreshing with crisp hints of white peaches, a pleasant fruity sweetness, good structure and a fine acidity that ends with a long aftertaste. This wine is an excellent choice for pasta, risotto, seafood, fish and light meat dishes.
