Puligny-Montrachet white wine is known as one of the world's finest. The name Puligny dates back to Gallo-Roman times around 2000 years ago. The limestone of the area contributes to the unique finesse of the Chardonnay grape, which is further enhanced by the south-eastern location and sloping terrain that ensures good drainage. The white wines from Puligny offer elegant aromas such as almond paste, fern, exotic fruits, amber and white flowers. The taste is characterized by a discreet acidity that gives a soft and persistent intensity. The most recognized vineyards in the area are Les Folatières, La Pucelle and Les Caillerets. Les Folatières is known for its full-bodied and bold wines, while La Pucelle and Les Caillerets are famous for their elegant wines with intense honey aromas.

Domaine Morey-Coffinet is located in Chassagne-Montrachet and covers 8.5 hectares. The winery is the result of a merger between the properties of Marc Morey and Fernand Coffinet. The majority of the vineyards are located in Chassagne-Montrachet, including premier crus such as la Romanée, Remilly and les Caillerets. The estate also has plots in Puligny-Montrachet and Bâtard-Montrachet. The vines are grown organically (under certification) and the wines are aged in oak barrels, up to 60% of which can be new, depending on the vintage and cuvée.
