Domaine Méo Camuzet Bourgogne Blanc 2020

Domaine Méo-Camuzet is one of the most renowned wine producers in Burgundy, established at the beginning of the 20th century by Etienne Camuzet. He gathered the famous vineyards that still make up the estate today and was the last private owner of the Clos de Vougeot chateau before selling it to the Confrérie du Tastevin. The parcels that Méo-Camuzet owns at Clos de Vougeot are among the most prestigious in this Grand Cru vineyard.

After Etienne's time, the vineyards were inherited by his daughter Maria Noirot, and upon her death in 1959, the property was passed on to Jean Méo, who was part of President de Gaulle's staff. Jean Méo continued to employ 'métayer', including the famous winemaker Henri Jayer, who set a high standard for wine production.

In 1985, Méo-Camuzet began selling their wines directly from the estate, and in 1988, Jean Méo took over the responsibility of the vineyards. Since 1989, Jean-Nicolas Méo, Jean Méo’s son, has been at the helm of the domaine together with Christian Faurois. They have maintained and expanded the ambitious goals, which have secured Domaine Méo-Camuzet a place as one of the most respected wine producers in Burgundy.
