Domaine Laroche Chablis Premier Cru 'Les Montmains' 2020

Domaine Laroche has vineyards in 11 different 1st Cru sites, totaling 21 hectares. The Les Montmains vineyard, which extends over 109.61 hectares, is located on the left bank of the Serein River and benefits from optimal sunlight. Laroche's portion of this vineyard is 1.46 hectares and has a clayey soil, resulting in wines with both structure and complexity.

The harvest at Les Montmains is done manually and the grapes are transported in small boxes to the winery for careful sorting. The fermentation process takes place in French oak barrels, followed by malolactic fermentation in steel tanks. The wine is aged for 9 months in wooden barrels and a further 8 months in steel tanks to preserve its freshness. Bottling takes place after natural sedimentation and a light filtration.

Les Montmains is recognized for its high quality. The wine exudes a distinctive personality and complexity, combined with a fine minerality and charm. It is ideal for serving with shellfish, fish or veal with spicy sauces, as well as with red cheeses.
