Description

This Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Champs Gains from Domaine Bouzereau represents the essence of the classic Burgundian Chardonnay – precise, mineral and elegant. The wine comes from the Les Champs Gains vineyard, located at altitude just above Puligny, where the soil is rich in lime and pebbles, which gives the wines a special freshness and nerve.

The 2023 vintage offers a beautifully balanced wine with both power and finesse, an expression of the cool terroir and the Bouzereau family's craftsmanship that has been refined over generations.

Fragrance

A refined and complex aroma where freshness and depth meet:

Notes of white peach, green apples and citrus

Delicate hints of acacia flower, almond and toasted brioche

An underlying minerality and slightly buttery nuance from the barrel aging

Taste

In the mouth, the wine shows its Puligny-typical precision – a combination of lively acidity, chalky structure and silky texture.

The palate opens with citrus and ripe stone fruits.

The mid-palate offers creamy depth, a slight nuttiness and a discreet vanilla note from the cask.

The finish is long, mineral and elegant , with an almost salty touch that gives great freshness and complexity.

Storage potential

Can be enjoyed now for its youthful freshness, but will develop greater depth and complexity over the next 8–12 years .

Serving

Serving temperature: 10–12 °C
Food pairing:

Lobster, scallops or butter-fried fish

Chicken in cream sauce

Creamy risottos or mature, mild cheeses

Overall impression

Domaine Bouzereau Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Champs Gains Blanc Eco 2023 is a great Burgundy where everything works together – purity, finesse and terroir expression. Organic cultivation and gentle vinification produce a wine that appears authentic and vibrant , with a beautiful balance between fruit, palate and minerality.

A wine for the big dinner or the quiet evening where you want to taste Burgundy at its most elegant.
