David Moret Auxey-Duresses 2023 is a characterful and refined white Burgundy, created by micro-négociant David Moret, who specializes in small cuvées of Chardonnay from the Côte de Beaune. Auxey-Duresses is located next door to Meursault and produces wines with a nice combination of freshness, minerality and discreet body – often a little more accessible in price, but with the same classic Burgundian depth.

In the glass, the wine appears clear, golden yellow with green hues. The nose is aromatic and complex with fresh notes of citrus, green apples and white flowers, complemented by subtle notes of peach, honeydew melon and roasted nuts from the partial barrel aging.

The palate is harmonious and elegant with lively acidity that provides freshness and elegance, while the soft texture adds depth and body. Notes of ripe stone fruit, lemon, brioche and a touch of vanilla and butter blend together in a balanced whole. The finish is persistent with a mineral edge that elevates the freshness of the wine.

David Moret Auxey-Duresses 2023 is a classic Burgundy with both charm and seriousness. It is suitable for everything from seafood, fish and white meat to creamy pasta dishes or mature cheeses. Can be enjoyed now for its fresh energy or stored for 5–7 years for greater complexity.
