The 2009 Pontet-Canet presents itself with a deep garnet color and offers aromas of chocolate-covered cherries, blackcurrants, blackberries and spiced cake. There are also subtle notes of cigar box, sandalwood, truffles and a hint of cast iron pan. This wine is full-bodied and complex with silky tannins and a freshness that indicates longevity. The finish is persistent and remarkable.

Château Pontet-Canet, located in the Pauillac region of Bordeaux, was established in the 18th century. The château achieved organic and biodynamic certification in 2005 and is recognized for its innovative and sustainable approach to winemaking. The property encompasses 81 hectares of vineyards consisting of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot.
