Château Haut-Brion is known as the first Bordeaux wine to be marketed under its château name. Located in Pessac, near Bordeaux, the history of the château can be traced back to 1525, when Jean de Pontac received 5 hectares of vineyards as a dowry. In the 17th century, the wine became popular and even reached the English royal family. After several changes of ownership, the château was purchased by Clarence Dillon in 1935, who carried out an extensive restoration. Today, the tradition is continued by Prince Robert of Luxembourg.

Château Haut-Brion has maintained an exceptional quality for generations and is recognized worldwide. The wines are renowned for their consistency across vintages and have significant aging potential. The castle has 51 hectares of vineyards, of which 48 hectares are dedicated to red grape varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, while almost 3 hectares are for white grapes such as Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc. The grapes are hand-picked and carefully sorted. After destemming, they are placed in vats where the fermentation process begins. The philosophy is that the quality of each grape is crucial to the greatness of the vintage.

The finest wines are selected for Château Haut-Brion and matured in new oak barrels for 20-24 months, which promotes the development of the wine. The wine is then bottled to continue the maturation process. Château Haut-Brion is recognized as one of the world's finest wines and is part of the 1st Cru chateaux in the Médoc 1855 classification.
