Groenekloof Sauvignon Blanc is made from grapes from vines planted in 1987 and 1997, grown without the use of irrigation. This results in a low yield with an intense aroma and flavour. Different clones of Sauvignon Blanc are used to achieve the perfect blend, depending on the vintage. After pressing, the grape must is allowed to settle naturally for three days before being transferred to stainless steel tanks for fermentation. The wine is aged on the lees for three months before being bottled, which preserves its freshness and finesse. The taste is elegant and fresh with notes of green leaves, grass, tropical fruit and elderflower. It is ideal with salads, fish dishes, shellfish or as a small glass to enjoy.
