Gaja Dagromis 2018 is an exquisite Barolo wine from Piedmont, made from Nebbiolo grapes grown in La Morra and Serralunga. This wine presents itself with a deep dark red hue and an aromatic profile that includes violets, wild roses and a touch of white pepper. The taste experience is rich with notes of red grapefruit, wild raspberries, cranberries and subtle spices. The vinification takes place in GAJA's wine cellar in Barbaresco, where fermentation is carried out in steel tanks using the grapes' natural yeasts. After the malolactic fermentation, the wine is first aged for a year in barriques and then for 18 months in large wooden barrels. The wine has excellent structure and body, with an aging potential of around 10 years, but it is also wonderful to enjoy now. If drunk young, decanting is recommended.

Angelo Gaja, a pioneering figure in Piedmont, took over the winery in 1961 and has since played a central role in Italian winemaking. GAJA wines are considered among the best in the region, renowned for their exceptional quality and low yields. Daughters Gaia and Rossana are now part of the company, with Angelo as their mentor.
