Domaine Philippe Bouzereau Chassagne-Montrachet Rouge 2022 is a refined red Burgundy from an area otherwise best known for its white wines. The Bouzereau family of Meursault has created this wine with respect for tradition and terroir, and the result is a Pinot Noir that combines the power of Chassagne-Montrachet with the elegance of the Côte de Beaune. The 2022 vintage was warm, yielding grapes with ripe fruit, soft tannins and great immediacy.

In the glass, the wine presents itself with a deep ruby ​​red color. The aroma is complex with notes of ripe cherries, raspberries and red plums, accompanied by violets, forest floor, spice and a touch of vanilla and toasted bread.

The palate is full-bodied and harmonious, but still characterised by the elegance of Pinot Noir. The ripe red fruit is balanced by well-integrated tannins, a lively acidity and a discreet minerality that provides freshness. Underlying nuances of spice, licorice and light toast contribute to the depth. The finish is long, rounded and characterised by both a fruity and spicy finesse.
