Domaine Jean-Pierre Maldant Aloxe-Corton 1er Cru 2020

Discover the 2020 Aloxe-Corton from Jean-Pierre Maldant 1st Cru Marèchaudes, a remarkable wine within its appellation. The grapes come from a special area that is perfectly situated and should have a higher price than the one we are offering.

This wine is made from Pinot Noir grapes from two small plots of land, totalling 0.34 hectares. One plot is located in Les Maréchaudes in Aloxe-Corton, while the other is located in La Maréchaude in Ladoix-Sérigny, where a few 1st Cru vineyards are entitled to bear the name Aloxe-Corton 1st Cru. Both plots have vines that are around 50 years old.

The fermentation and maturation process, which lasts 14 months, takes place in traditional Burgundy oak barrels (228 liters). Maldants Maréchaudes is a classic example of wines from this region, characterized by great finesse and aroma. The nose is characterized by raspberry and cherry, while the taste in the mouth is full and concentrated with a well-balanced finesse and harmony.
