Charmes-Chambertin from Domaine Huguenot is a wine grown biodynamically and offers a harmonious blend of finesse, fruit and complexity. The grapes are carefully selected and undergo a cold skin maceration for 7-10 days to extract aromas, colour and flavour. The alcoholic fermentation lasts around 15 days, followed by malolactic fermentation and an 18-month ageing in oak barrels. The wine finishes its ageing in stainless steel tanks and is bottled in the spring, two years after the harvest. The aroma is intense and fresh with notes of ripe, dark berries. The taste is full and fleshy with a woody character in its youth, while the fruit concentration develops quickly in the glass. The wine can be aged for several years, but with a little oxygenation in a carafe it can already reveal its many qualities.
