Bernard Gros heads Domaine Gros Frère et Soeur, one of the oldest wine-growing families in Burgundy. With 21 hectares of vineyards and a magnificent grand cru heritage that includes Richebourg, Clos de Vougeot, Grands Echezeaux and Echezeaux, the winery is a real gem. Grands-Échezeaux, which covers 36.62 hectares, is located next to Clos de Vougeot in Vosne Romanée. To improve quality, Bernard Gros replanted the vines about ten years ago, and his wines often receive praise from wine critics.

This grand cru presents a rich bouquet already from its youth. Although excellently made, it requires time to develop complex aromas of liquorice, pepper and vanilla. On the palate, the wine reveals a perfect balance between minerality and tannic structure. This fresh and elegant wine, matured in new barrels, is a true jewel from one of the Côte de Nuits' most prestigious domains.
