Pio Cesare is a renowned winery located in Piedmont, Italy, with roots dating back to 1881. Today, the winery is run by Pio Boffa, representing the fourth generation. They combine tradition with modern techniques and own vineyards in some of the most sought-after areas such as Barolo, Barbaresco and Alba.

This wine from Pio Cesare is a beautiful and accessible expression of the Nebbiolo grape – the little sister of Barolo and Barbaresco, but still with great character and finesse. Langhe Nebbiolo 2022 is created with grapes from selected plots in the Barolo and Barbaresco zones and clearly shows the house's tradition-bound and quality-focused style.

Flavor profile:
The wine has a clear ruby ​​red color and opens with an aromatic nose of red cherries, roses, violets and slightly spicy notes . In the mouth it is elegant and fresh, with pronounced but rounded tannins , fine acidity and notes of strawberry, licorice and a little tobacco in the finish. It is a wine with nerve and structure, but at the same time more immediate than a Barolo.
