Méo-Camuzet Gevrey-Chambertin 2021

Domaine Méo-Camuzet is known as one of the most renowned wine producers in Burgundy. The estate was established at the beginning of the 20th century by Etienne Camuzet, who brought together the famous vineyards that still make up the domaine today. Domaine Méo-Camuzet owns some of the most prestigious parcels in the Grand Cru Clos de Vougeot.

After Etienne Camuzet's death, the vineyards were inherited by Maria Noirot. When she passed away in 1959, the property was passed on to Jean Méo, who employed the renowned winemaker Henri Jayer. Jayer introduced high standards of winemaking, including low yields, full destemming, cold maceration and minimal filtration.

In 1985, Domaine Méo-Camuzet began selling their wines directly from the estate. Since 1989, Jean-Nicolas Méo has been at the helm of the domaine together with Christian Faurois, and they have continued to maintain the high ambitions for wine production. Méo-Camuzet wines remain among the most sought-after in Burgundy.
