Lucien Le Moine Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Petits Monts 2022 is a sophisticated and nuanced red wine from the renowned Vosne-Romanée wine region in Côte de Nuits, Burgundy. This wine comes from the Premier Cru Les Petits Monts vineyard, which is located high on the slope just above the famous Grand Cru Richebourg . The stony soil and cool location contribute to wines of great finesse and intense aroma.

The 2022 vintage was characterised by warmth and sun, resulting in an extra ripe and deep fruit profile. However, Lucien Le Moine has managed to maintain a beautiful balance between strength and elegance. In the glass, the wine presents a complex aroma of ripe red berries such as cherries and raspberries, floral notes of violets and roses, as well as subtle spices, forest floor and lightly toasted oak from the barrel ageing.

On the palate, the wine is silky smooth with a nice structure, delicate tannins and a long, mineral finish. It has great aging potential, but can also be enjoyed young, especially after a little oxygenation.

Serving suggestion: This wine is perfect for dishes with game, duck, pigeon or mushrooms – preferably in a reduced red wine sauce – or as a meditation wine on special occasions.

Grape variety: 100% Pinot Noir
Aging: Matured in oak barrels (often 100% new barrels)
Alcohol: Approximately 13.5% (the exact value may vary and is stated on the bottle)

Lucien Le Moine is known for his uncompromising approach, minimal intervention and small productions, making this wine both sought after and a collector's item for Burgundy enthusiasts.
