La Villette Pinot Noir from Maison de la Villette is made exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes grown on the slopes at the foot of the Pyrenees and Cevennes mountains. Here, the soil is rich in limestone and the cooler temperatures create perfect conditions for Pinot Noir. These conditions give the wine a rich aroma and a delicate, fruity character. To highlight this style, the wine undergoes a cool maceration for two days, followed by a 14-day fermentation in steel tanks. The wine is then aged for six months in a combination of steel tanks and used French oak barrels, adding a velvety texture and complexity.

The wine presents itself with a beautiful, light ruby ​​red color and an elegant, open aroma with fresh fruit notes of cherry, raspberry and cranberry and a touch of vanilla. The taste is harmonious and fresh, with many of the same nuances as the aroma, but also notes of prunes and a slightly spicy and smoky aftertaste. An incredibly well-made and exciting wine in its class!

Serve this wine with vegetable dishes (preferably gratinated with cheese), poultry, pork, pasta or rice dishes, and grilled fish. It is best served slightly chilled.
