Kellermeister Wild Witch Shiraz 2013

Kellermeister Wild Witch Shiraz is a red wine from Australia, specifically from the Barossa Valley, famous for its powerful and intense flavor profile. This wine is only produced in vintages of exceptional quality.

The grapes for this wine come mainly from the Eden Valley and Barossa Valley. After being destemmed and crushed, the grapes undergo a maceration for 2-3 days to extract colour and tannins. Fermentation takes place slowly at temperatures between 22-26° with three daily stirrings. The wine is then aged for 15 months in new French oak barrels before being blended and aged for a further 12 months.

Wild Witch Shiraz presents itself with a bright blood red color and aromas of ripe plums, cherries, blackberries and spices such as black pepper, cinnamon and anise. The taste is full and silky with nuances of dark chocolate and spices. The wine has good acidity, fine tannins and a long aftertaste.

Serve this wine at 15-17° with dishes such as lamb, game, stews, grilled food or hard cheeses.
