Highland Park 18 Year Old 2022 Single Cask Series Whisky is an exclusive release, bottled at 60% ABV. This whisky has been matured in a first-fill sherry-seasoned European oak cask and only 565 bottles have been made. The nose is complex with notes of fresh pear, ginger and sweet banana. The palate presents itself with burnt cedar, spices, cloves, toffee, honey cake and liquorice, and finishes with a long finish of citrus peel and peat smoke. Gordon Motion, Master Whisky Maker, notes: “There is an intensely balanced smoky sweetness, driven by Orkney’s unique heathery peat, which is a pervasive DNA of our whisky. Each cask of Highland Park is unique and reveals its own characteristics. Each year I select a small number of the most exceptional casks for our single cask series, celebrating the spirit of individuality and authentic craftsmanship that is at the heart of our whisky production.”
