Glengoyne 21 Year Highland Single Malt

Founded in 1833, Glengoyne distillery is located in Dumgoyne, north of Glasgow, and is owned by Ian McLeod Distillers. This distillery, located on the border between the Highlands and Lowlands, uses hot air to dry its barley, resulting in a sweet and fruity whisky without the characteristic peat smoke. With 1 wash still and 2 slow spirit stills, Glengoyne produces around 1 million litres of raw spirit annually. Their production is based on six key principles: unpeated drying, patient distillation, aging in rare sherry casks, careful aging, natural colour and tradition. Glengoyne 21 year old whisky is matured in sherry casks for a minimum of 21 years. The aroma is characterised by ripe red apples, dried fruits, toffee and spices, while the taste highlights sherry, honey and cinnamon. The finish is long, round and spicy, making Glengoyne 21 year old a beautifully balanced whisky. 46% - 70 cl.
