Flor de Pingus is a fine wine made from 25-60 year old vines located in La Horra and Olmedillo de Roa. The grapes, harvested at the end of September, include 4% Grenache. After careful sorting, the grapes undergo fermentation in steel tanks and then mature for 14 months in a combination of new and used French oak barrels.
The wine presents a complex flavor profile with notes of plums, violets and spicy herbs, accompanied by a fresh and salty minerality. It is both powerful and full-bodied, but also juicy and seductive. According to Peter Sisseck, the 2021 edition is characterized by a freshness with red fruit and a rich tannin structure.
