Domaine Chevrot Maranges 1er Cru Les Clos Roussots 2022 is a red Burgundy from the Côte de Beaune, produced from 100% Pinot Noir . The Les Clos Roussots vineyard is one of the most renowned Premier Cru vineyards in Maranges and is located on southeast-facing slopes, which provide ripe grapes and a wine with both charm and structure.

Grapes and style

100% Pinot Noir.

Hand-harvested, traditional fermentation with the grapes' natural yeast.

Aged in French oak barrels, partly new, to provide depth and finesse.

Tasting notes

Color : Ruby red with purple edges – youthful and intense.

Aroma : Fresh and aromatic with notes of red cherries, raspberries and blackcurrants, supported by violet, light pepper, licorice and a touch of oak.

Taste : Full-bodied for a Maranges, with ripe fruit, soft tannins and a juicy acidity. The combination of red fruit, spice and minerality gives both immediate drinking pleasure and depth.

Aftertaste : Elegant and persistent with a balance between fruit and finesse.

Storage potential

The 2022 vintage in Burgundy was warm and produced ripe, concentrated grapes. The wine can be enjoyed young for its fruit richness, but will develop complexity and tertiary notes towards 2032–2035 .
