De Wetshof Estate 'Danie de Wet' Chardonnay-Pinot Noir 2023

At De Wetshof Estate, conservation is a top priority. They recently received an award from the WWF Conservation Pioneer Awards for their efforts to protect the local fynbos vegetation that grows alongside their vineyards. However, this winery also has a significant historical impact. De Wetshof was the first registered winery in Robertson and paved the way in 1981 as the first South African winery to market Chardonnay commercially. The chalky soils and cool nights of Robertson are ideal for growing both the popular white Chardonnay and the red Pinot Noir, both of which are part of this special wine. Expect a juicy taste experience with apple notes, strawberries and a touch of spice. Perfect with dishes featuring tuna, smoked salmon, chicken and duck.
