CWG Survivor Chardonnay 2022

Chardonnay from South Africa is known for its rich aromas and flavor notes, often including tropical fruits and exotic spices. Winemakers in the region, especially in Stellenbosch, are known for their experimental approach, where it is not unusual to blend Chardonnay with Sauvignon Blanc. These wines are generally simpler than their French counterparts and have a lighter, more tropical character than Californian Chardonnays.

Yet some of the most talented South African winemakers manage to create Chardonnays that rival the world's best. This Chardonnay, made from grapes from 22-year-old vines, is a prime example of that.
