CWG Neil Ellis Cape Winemakers Guild Cain 2020 is a fine red wine from the Jonkershoek Valley in Stellenbosch, South Africa, created by the talented winemaker Warren Ellis of Neil Ellis Wines. This wine was specially made for the Cape Winemakers Guild auction and is an excellent representation of a right-sided Bordeaux style.

Grape composition:

• 44% Merlot
• 41% Cabernet Franc
• 15% Cabernet Sauvignon

All the grapes are grown on the same estate that also produces Neil Ellis' famous Jonkershoek Cabernet Sauvignon. This unique blend has been created exclusively for Guilden and is different from Neil Ellis Wines' usual range.

Tasting notes: The wine offers aromas of cherries, wild berries and rose petals, with delicate notes of licorice. The palate is medium-bodied with a beautifully layered and lively structure, ending with a refreshing lime finish.

Storage potential: This wine has promising development potential and is expected to be at its best from 2025 to 2035.
