The Prüm family has been growing wine since 1156 in Mosel villages such as Bernkastel, Graach, Wehlen and Zeltingen. In 1842, Jodocus Prüm built sundials in Wehlen and Zeltingen, giving rise to the names Wehlen Sonnenuhr and Zeltingen Sonnenuhr. The SA Prüm winery was founded in 1911 by Sebastian Alois Prüm, who inherited 7 hectares of vineyards. Raimund Prüm has been managing the winery since 1971, and his daughter has been head winemaker since 2017. SA Prüm produces quality Riesling by combining old traditions with modern techniques.
