Ricasoli Historia Familiae Toscana 2011 Magnum

Since 1141, the Ricasoli family has been dedicated to wine production at the historic Castello di Brolio. Today, Francesco Ricasoli is at the helm of the winery, where he has managed to modernize production without compromising on the proud traditions. With 240 hectares of vineyards growing Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay, they ensure a diverse wine portfolio. Each grape variety is vinified individually, resulting in a varied selection, with the Sangiovese-based red wines being particularly renowned. Their most prestigious wine is the Gran Selezione Chianti Classico.

This wine is both full-bodied and elegant, with aromas of black cherry, blackcurrant, iron and tobacco. The palate offers a long finish of fruit, spice and minerals. It is made from Sangiovese and Petit Verdot. Recommended by Bruce Sanderson of Wine Spectator.
