This red wine is made from the Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon grape varieties. It has matured for 16 months in French oak barrels and a further 6 months in the bottle. The wine is characterised by a good structure and soft tannins. It should be served at a temperature of 15-17 °C and is best enjoyed within 6-8 years of purchase. It is an excellent choice with hearty meat dishes, spicy pasta, pizza, veal and beef, as well as simmering dishes such as Osso Bucco. James Suckling awarded it 95 points. The Tuscany region is famous for its wines, including Chianti and Brunello di Montalcino.
