Pouilly Fumé Cuvée Vautrepain 2023

This wine is produced from the old limestone soils of Pouilly-sur-Loire, where the vines are between 45 and 55 years old. After harvest, the wine is aged in stainless steel tanks on lees for 3-4 months, after which it is bottled 10 months later and matured for 1 year in the cellar.

The wine presents a straw yellow hue and offers an intense aroma of pineapple and cooked fruits. The taste is round with a light acidity, a full-bodied note and a discreet woody undertone. It comes from Kimmeridgian clay soil with a south-facing slope overlooking the Loire River.

Ideal as an aperitif or with dishes with fish, goat cheese or shellfish.
