Pio Cesare is a winery with deep roots in Piedmont, Italy, established in 1881. Today, it is run by the fourth generation, Pio Boffa, who manages to balance tradition with modern methods. The winery has vineyards in some of the most renowned areas such as Barolo, Barbaresco and Alba.

The Dolcetto grape is known for creating wines with a fruity and well-structured character. The nose offers nuances of ripe red and black fruits, including blackberries, cherries, plums and raspberries, with a touch of violets. The palate is medium-bodied and offers notes of blackberries, cherries, plums, black pepper and licorice. The soft tannins and refreshing acidity create a pleasant mouthfeel and a short to medium finish.
