Pinot Noir Organic Marlborough Misty Cove Wines 2020
The organic Pinot Noir is made from grapes grown in the Southern Valley, Marlborough, an area renowned for creating Pinot Noir with intense aroma and fruity character, as well as a soft and full-bodied texture. Misty Cove uses the finest Pinot Noir clones: 777, 115, Abel and 667. The grapes are hand-picked from each individual plot as they ripen at different times. Each plot is vinified separately. After destemming and light pressing, the grapes are fermented in open vats with regular agitation. The wine is then gently matured in French oak barrels, 20% of which are new.
The aroma of this organic Pinot Noir reveals notes of raspberry, plum, spice and a slight mineral undertone. The taste is fresh and inviting, with an intensity of ripe red fruits and a pleasant softness in the finish. The food notes are beautifully integrated with the fruit. A charming, appetizing and full-bodied Pinot Noir that goes perfectly with pasta, risotto, poultry, pork, lamb, as well as warm vegetarian dishes or fish.
