Muga Special Selection 2020

Muga Selección Especial 2020 is an exquisite red wine from the famous Rioja region of Spain, created by Bodegas Muga. This wine is a harmonious blend of classic grape varieties: 70% Tempranillo, 20% Garnacha, 7% Mazuelo and 3% Graciano.

After careful hand-harvesting, the grapes undergo natural fermentation in oak vats. The wine is then aged for 26 months in French oak barrels, 40% of which are new. After bottling, the wine is aged for a further 18 months before reaching the market.

The wine presents itself with a deep cherry red hue in the glass. The nose is rich and complex with aromas of ripe fruit, spices such as cloves and vanilla, as well as subtle notes of chocolate and cocoa from the barrel aging. The palate offers soft tannins and a well-balanced structure, with a fresh acidity that supports the wine's aging potential. The finish is long and nuanced with persistent hints of ripe fruit and toasted undertones.

Perfect with red meat, lamb and game dishes, this wine can be enjoyed now or stored for further maturation in the cellar, thanks to its excellent aging potential.
