The 2023 Moulin-à-Vent from Pierre Bouree & Fils is a powerful and complex red wine from Beaujolais, made from 100% Gamay grapes. It is known for its structural complexity, full-bodied taste and potential for aging. The nose is likely to be fruity, while the palate will be rich with notes of dark fruit and a spicy undertone from the granitic soil, especially from the high manganese content in the soil.  

Area:  Beaujolais, France, specifically from the prestigious "cru" vineyard of Moulin-à-Vent.

Grape: 100% Gamay.

Flavor profile:

Powerful and structured with lots of body and fruit.

May have complex flavors of dark fruit and spices.

Known for its mineral character and tannin-rich structure, which contributes to its aging potential. Soil: Granite-rich soil, which often contains manganese, which gives the wine its powerful character. Storage: Moulin-à-Vent wines are among the most age-worthy in Beaujolais and can develop positively for several years in bottle.
