Mille Vite Piemonte Grignolino – DOC 2021

The Grignolino grape is known for its many seeds, which gives the wine its characteristic strong and bitter tannins. To reduce the tannin content, the grapes are pressed gently and slowly. Mille Vites Grignolino uses the Fauxrouge method, which creates light and aromatic red wines with less tannin extraction, while maintaining complexity.

This Piemonte DOC Grignolino consists of at least 80% Grignolino, supplemented with 19% Barbera and 1% Albarossa. The wine is fermented and aged in oak barrels for 4 months. The Grignolino part undergoes a short maceration and fermentation without skins, resulting in a light wine that is aged in stainless steel tanks. After fermentation, the must is mixed with Barbera and Albarossa, aged for a month and bottled without filtration. Only 2,400 bottles have been produced.

The wine offers a charming aroma of strawberries, cranberries, leather, licorice, mint, red flowers and violets. It is light, light and refreshing with flavor notes of strawberries, raspberries, light cherries and a slight bitterness. Ideal for enjoying in the shade of an olive tree.
