Colheita is a type of vintage stawny that is aged in casks for at least 7 years, often longer. This process gives the wine a brownish hue and a complex flavour of dried fruits such as raisins, figs and nuts. Colheita 1983 is an excellent example with its youthful and powerful flavour profile. It presents a light cola colour, a distinct smoky aroma and flavour notes of sultanas and orange peel.
