Juan Gil Monastrell Dulce 2012 is a fine dessert wine from Juan Gil, created from carefully selected Monastrell grapes from the family's oldest vines. This wine is matured partly in stainless steel tanks and partly in French oak barrels for five years, followed by at least one year of bottle aging.
The wine presents a cherry red color with brown and garnet red nuances. The aroma is rich with ripe berries, figs, dates, dried apricots and a slight earthy note. The taste is intense with dark fruit, a pronounced sweetness and a balanced acidity. The sweet and ripe flavor nuances are prominent from the first sip to the lingering aftertaste.
It should be served at 10-12 degrees. Ideal with chocolate, sweet pastries, mature cheeses or as a treat in itself. A remarkable Spanish dessert wine with a wealth of flavor experiences.
