Isle of Funen Dusk Vintage 2017 Organic Single Malt Danish Whisky

Isle of Fionia Skumring Vintage 2017 is an organic Danish single malt that celebrates the long, Nordic evenings and the atmospheric twilight hour. It is distilled at Nyborg Distillery and aged in carefully selected casks, which give the whisky both depth and finesse.

In the glass it appears with a beautiful golden amber color. The aroma is complex with nuances of dried fruit, ripe apples, honey and a touch of vanilla and caramel from the barrel aging. There are also subtle spicy notes that give the aroma an elegant warmth.

The palate is full-bodied and harmonious with layers upon layers of flavours: sweet malt, dark chocolate, dried orange peel and soft oak notes. A light spice and a slightly nutty character add depth, while rounded tannins from the cask create balance. The finish is long, silky and persistent with a hint of caramel and vanilla that fades into a pleasant warmth.

A whisky that can be enjoyed both neat for its pure expression and as a companion to thoughtful moments.
