Character and style

The “Frauenberg” vineyard is located in Rheinhessen, more precisely Nieder-Flörsheim, on a southeast-facing slope with limestone and marl soil, partly with elements of pure limestone and sandstone. This creates good conditions for fruit and minerality.

The vines are approximately 28 years old, and production is small and careful – green harvesting is practiced and selection is strong, so that the grapes have extra concentration.

Smell and taste

The aroma reveals ripe stone fruits such as peach and apricot, along with elegant citrus nuances and floral undertones. There is also a distinct mineral edge and a fresh spicy note that adds complexity.

The taste is both concentrated and yet elegant: full-bodied, mineral and with a fine balance between fruit and acidity. The aftertaste is persistent and characterized by freshness with citrus and herbs, as well as the underlying minerality that leads thoughts towards the earth and the terroir.

Food pairing and serving

Serve at around 10-12°C to enhance the freshness and aromatic nuances. This Riesling is excellent with poultry, light fish dishes, sashimi, or as an accompaniment to citrus and herbaceous dishes. It can also be a wonderful wine to enjoy on its own, as an aperitif or with light dishes.
