Viña Pedrosa Reserva is a wine made exclusively from Tinta del País (Tempranillo) from vineyards located at an altitude of 840 meters. The grapes are hand-picked and the wine is aged for 24 months in both French and American oak barrels, followed by a minimum of 12 months in bottle.

The wine presents a deep cherry red hue with purple tones and offers aromas of ripe cherries, blackberries, licorice, cinnamon and tobacco. The taste is intense with a juicy acidity and pronounced tannins, which ensures the wine a long shelf life. The aftertaste is persistent and pleasant.

Viña Pedrosa Reserva can be aged for several years before serving. It is an excellent choice for hearty stews with beef, lamb or game, as well as grilled vegetables such as squash or eggplant. Recommended serving temperature is 15-17 degrees, and the wine can be enjoyed until 2030.

"The impressive 2016 Viña Pedrosa Reserva is a classic example of ripe Tempranillo from Ribera del Duero, reflecting the Castilian weather and calcareous soils, which give it a chalky mouthfeel. It is juicy and slightly chewy, but has plenty of fruit to balance the tannins, and it has a good structure that goes well with regional dishes such as roast lamb or suckling pig. 2016 was a cooler year, and the wine shows very good balance and freshness. 68,805 bottles were produced and it was bottled in January 2018."
