Flor de Pingus 2009 is a wine made from younger vines, between 35 and 45 years old, planted close to the Pingus fields. This wine is made exclusively from Tempranillo grapes and has a low yield of a maximum of 25 hl/ha. Fermentation takes place in large wooden barrels and the wine is aged for 14 months in a combination of new French oak barrels and previously used Pingus barrels. It is bottled without fining or filtering.

Flor de Pingus has many similarities to Pingus, and the difference in quality is less than the price difference might suggest. Since 2004, the wine has received between 95 and 98 points from Robert Parker, while Pingus has achieved between 98 and 100 points. In 2008, Jay Miller noted that "For the price/quality ratio, this may be Spain's best wine."

The wine has been biodynamic since 2005.
