Flor de Pingus 2007 is made from 35-45 year old vines located close to the famous Pingus plots. This wine, made exclusively from Tempranillo grapes, has a low yield of a maximum of 25 hl/ha. Fermentation takes place in large wooden barrels with minimal intervention. The wine is then aged for 14 months in a combination of new and used French oak barrels from Pingus, and is bottled without fining or filtering. It has many similarities to Pingus, but is available at a more affordable price. Robert Parker has awarded the wine 95 points, and Jay Miller has praised it as "Spain's best wine in terms of price and quality."
