De Wetshof is one of the most renowned wine houses in South Africa, located in the Robertson Valley, where limestone-rich soils give the Chardonnay a special freshness and minerality. Limestone Hill is the house's most fruit-driven and immediate Chardonnay – vinified without barrel aging to preserve the grape's pure and natural expression.

In the glass, the wine appears with a clear, light straw yellow color with green reflections . The aroma is inviting and fresh with intense notes of citrus, lime, green apples and white peaches , complemented by delicate nuances of pineapple and melon . There is a clear mineral undertone, which testifies to the chalky soils.

The palate is clean, crisp and elegant with a nice balance between ripe fruit and fresh acidity. The natural fullness of the Chardonnay is combined here with a crunchy minerality and lively freshness , giving the wine both structure and finesse. The finish is fruity, juicy and persistent , with a slight touch of salty minerality.
