Jeune Musar is Château Musar’s fresher and more immediate wine, created from younger vines in the Bekaa Valley and vinified to highlight fruit, juiciness and accessibility. The 2020 vintage is a brilliant example of the house’s ability to balance tradition and modernity. The wine opens with intense aromas of red cherries, raspberries and ripe plums, which are beautifully intertwined with floral notes of violet and a touch of Mediterranean herbs.

On the palate it is lively and round with a juicy fruit sweetness, fresh acidity and soft, silky tannins. Notes of spices, licorice and a light minerality give the wine depth and complexity. The aftertaste is persistent with both fruity and spicy nuances.

Jeune Musar is perfect with barbecues, spicy stews, Middle Eastern specialties or simply as an accompaniment to a good meal with friends. It can be enjoyed now for its youthful charm, but will also develop further nuances with a few years of bottle aging.
