Château Haut Brion was the first Bordeaux wine to be marketed under its château name. Located in Pessac near Bordeaux, the history of the château can be traced back to 1525, when Jean de Pontac received 5 hectares of vineyards as a dowry. In the 17th century, the wine became popular and even reached the English king. After several changes of ownership, the château was purchased by Clarence Dillon in 1935, who restored it. Today, the vision is continued by Prince Robert of Luxembourg.

The wines of Château Haut Brion have maintained an exceptional quality for generations and have achieved world-class status. They are known for their consistency across vintages and have significant aging potential. The castle has 51 hectares of vineyards, of which 48 hectares are dedicated to red grape varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, while almost 3 hectares are dedicated to white grapes such as Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc. The grapes are hand-picked and carefully sorted. After destemming, the fruit undergoes fermentation to determine the quality of the vintage.

The finest wines are aged in new oak barrels for 20-24 months, which promotes the development of the wine's character. After bottling, the slow maturation process continues. Château Haut Brion is recognized as one of the world's finest wines and is part of the 1st Cru chateaux in the famous 1855 classification of the Médoc.
