Calmel + Joseph Amstramgram Pomone Vin Orange 2021

This wine is made from Terret gris, Roussanne and Marsanne grapes, which originate from the Minervois in the south of France. The fermentation process for Roussanne and Marsanne started with both grapes and skins, followed by a light filtration, after which the wine was transferred to new barrels mid-fermentation. Whole bunches of Terret gris were then added to complete the fermentation. The wine was aged for 3 months before the final filtration and bottling.

The wine has a beautiful light orange color with a golden hue. It offers fresh aromas of quince, citrus and almond, combined with mineral and flint notes. The palate is rich in nuances of apple, pear, stone fruit and grapefruit, as well as subtle hints of sloe, nutty notes and Earl Grey tea. The wine is perfectly balanced with light tannins and a fine acidity that adds balance and elegance.

Serve the wine at 10-12 degrees and enjoy it with white meats, poultry, grilled vegetables or dry cheeses. It can be drunk now or stored for a few years to develop more bitter and nutty, oxidative notes.
