Bouchard Finlayson Blanc de Mer 2024 is an exquisite white wine that harmoniously combines the character of the vineyards with the influence of the nearby sea. Perfect to accompany seafood and fish dishes from Hermanus. This wine is mainly composed of Riesling (65-69%), complemented by Viognier, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc from the Western Cape. Each grape variety is harvested and vinified individually, and fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks using the grapes' natural yeasts. The wine is aged on lees for around 5 months, which adds extra freshness and body. The blending is carried out just before bottling and is adapted to the unique character of the vintage. Blanc de Mer presents an inviting aroma with notes of citrus fruits, lime blossom, peaches, apricot and acacia blossom. The taste is crisp, dry and mineral with a slightly salty nuance.
