Bock 40 Harvest red wine 2017, Hungary

Bock 40 Cuvée is a tribute to József Bock's 40th anniversary and has matured for 24 months in new oak barrels. The wine presents itself with a clear, mirror-like surface and slowly flowing tears, which testify to its high quality. It has a deep ruby ​​color with a garnet red edge. The aroma is rich in ripe fruit such as pomegranate, plum and wild berries, complemented by spices such as cardamom and cinnamon. The taste is dry with a full body, moderate alcohol content and lively acids, while the long, intense aftertaste emphasizes the wine's distinguished quality.

The cold and dry winter reduced the risk of disease, while spring quickly brought higher temperatures in March. April brought cooler weather that stabilized growth. May was hot with almost 50 mm of rain over three days, but the vineyards suffered minimal damage. The summer was characterized by heat and drought, which gave the grapes a beautiful ripeness. Harvest began earlier than usual in August. Although September brought unexpected rain and lower temperatures, proper protection against infections ensured that healthy and high-quality grapes were harvested.
