Beyerskloof Pinotage Reserve is a more concentrated and structured version of the house's classic Pinotage, made from selected grapes from older vines and aged in oak for added depth and complexity. The 2022 vintage is an excellent example of how Beyerskloof is elevating Pinotage to a more serious and age-worthy level.

In the glass, the wine appears with a dense, dark ruby ​​red color . The aroma is intense and complex with layers of sun-ripened cherries, blackberries and plums , complemented by notes of dark chocolate, tobacco, roasted coffee and a touch of vanilla and spice from the barrel aging.

The palate is full-bodied, powerful and well-balanced . It opens with a rich fruit concentration of dark berries, gradually followed by silky but firm tannins , a well-integrated acidity and a spicy undertone. The finish is long, harmonious and characterized by ripe fruits, cedar and discreet barrel spice.

Style: A serious, barrel-aged Pinotage with both depth and finesse – a step up from the classic Pinotage, with greater aging potential.

Perfect with: Grilled beef, lamb, game, intense pasta dishes or mature cheeses. It is an ideal companion to powerful and spicy dishes where the wine's structure can stand up to it.
