Anthonij Rupert Syrah 2015 is a premium Syrah wine from South Africa. This wine is made exclusively from Syrah grapes from Franschhoek, which grow in granite-rich soil, with a harvest of 8 tons per hectare. The grapes were carefully hand-picked in February 2015, fermented in steel tanks and matured for 20 months in French oak barrels, some of which were new.
The wine presents a deep red hue and offers intense aromas of black berries, white pepper and smoke. The palate is full-bodied with nuances of black cherries, tart plums, balsamic and oak. It has ripe tannins and a fresh acidity, resulting in a silky and well-balanced wine with a long aftertaste.
For the best experience, serve the wine at 17-18 degrees, and let it air for an hour before serving. It is an excellent choice for dishes with beef, lamb, mature cheeses or Christmas duck. Anthonij Rupert Syrah 2015 is a mature wine that is extremely tasty and in perfect harmony.
